IT – HELP DESK TECHNICIAN

Newport Beach, CA

Newmeyer Dillion, is excited to seek the next member of our highly-skilled information technology team.

This experienced Help Desk Technician position is based out of the firm's Newport Beach office.

In a friendly environment that promotes collaboration and knowledge sharing, the Help Desk Technician will provide support to the Firm’s attorneys, management team and staff.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of relevant desktop/Help Desk support;
  • A+, Microsoft, Citrix, Cisco, or VMware Certifications preferred;
  • Strong interpersonal communication and/or customer service skills;
  • Team mindset;
  • Extensive working knowledge of PCs, network hardware, operating systems, and software (including file server, workstation, printers, hard disk drives, UPS devices and patch panels).
  • High School Diploma or GED required; Associates or Undergraduate degree in information systems or related field preferred.

Daily Expectations:

A big part of this role will require the candidate to provide IT first-level support to end users on a variety of issues, potentially requiring technical research and troubleshooting to respond to telephone calls, emails and technical support requests. Documentation, follow up and resolution to pending issues is essential.

All Help Desk requests and resolutions will need to get entered into the ticket system. Managing and maintaining employee information in the Active Directory will be a consistent task. Loaner technology inventory will require maintenance and distribution, upon authorization. Assistance will be required with configuration, installation and testing of network equipment, desktops, laptops, attached devices and functioning desk spaces (i.e. sit/stand desk installations and/or adjustments).

LEGAL SUPPORT ASSISTANT

Newport Beach, CA

Newmeyer Dillion, is excited to seek the next member of our legal administration team!

This experienced Legal Support Assistant position is based out of the firm's Newport Beach office.

In a friendly environment that promotes collaboration and knowledge sharing, under the mentorship of appointed legal secretaries, the Legal Support Assistant will provide backup administrative and clerical support to the litigation and transactional secretaries as necessary.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 2 years of administrative or secretarial experience preferred;
  • Proficient in MS Word, MS Outlook, basic knowledge of MS Excel and MS Power Point;
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills;
  • Must be self-motivated, energetic, possess the ability to take direction well, and collaborate as a team member;
  • Reliable in developing trust and maintaining confidentiality;
  • Successful in organization, time management and prioritization skills;
  • Ability to manage competing demands; and
  • High School Diploma or GED required; some college is beneficial.

Daily Expectations:

A successful candidate will be proactive in their daily tasks. Maintaining calendars and deadline reminder systems are of the upmost importance, as the LSA will be utilizing a master calendar system and will update and monitor attorney and/or paralegal calendars.

Creation, formatting and editing of documents and expense reimbursement reports will be consistent. Court notices will be received and will need proper routing and dissemination. Documents are to be scanned into a document management system Additional duties, such as large mailings, binder assemble and file organization are also to be expected.
